The scope of work included the Design Development, Final Design, and Technical Supervision of the following installations:
Water Supply / Sewage / Storm Drainage / Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning / Special Installations (compressed air, gas, etc.)
Description
Renovation of the 5-star Grande Bretagne deluxe hotel of the Starwood Luxury Collection in Athens.
The hotel comprises 321 rooms, 59 suites, a roof garden, 3 restaurants and bars, mixed use halls and a spa of 800 m2.
The final construction design was done while actual construction was progressing (fast-track method) within 12 months. Among the many impediments that were overcome were the limited space for plantrooms, lack of shafts, and low headroom as the building is very old and protected.
