- Study of current models as prepared by EAC and preparation of comments and proposals;
- Drawing up of the SMP methodology;
- Support to CERA for the full understanding of the issue (reports preparation & on site cooperation).
Description
The project refers to the provision of support to the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) in the negotiations held with the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) and the Transmission System Operator of Cyprus (TSO) on the determination of the Simulated Market Price (SMP) Methodology. In this context CERA proposed the suitable parameters that will ensure that the determined price will serve the requirements of the market operation, growth and competition, without creating viability problems to EAC. These parameters are taken into account in the determination of the SMP methodology.
