Type of Services
Special advisory services were provided by LDK, particularly on grid interconnections, standards and related technical issues. Services included evaluation of the technical and economic aspects of the import of electricity from other connected regions / countries on a pre-feasibility basis, taking into account export possibilities to the EU, including requirements to harmonise standards and norms for electricity transfer.
Description
This project referred to the provision of expertise assistance for the definition and assessment of energy markets and supply / transport options (electricity, gas, petroleum, LPG) for the Kaliningrad region, Russia, giving particular attention to energy security issues effecting Kaliningrad and the potential effects for future EU enlargement.
