Description

The objectives of this project were to introduce:

• financial management systems appropriate to mining in the emerging market economy;
• mine management techniques that encourage cost –effective decision making;
• marketing concepts and techniques to mine management in order to encourage them to understand the significance of the connection between coal sales and coal production;
• computerised mine planning and design techniques that encourage improvements in the economics of local mining and the establishment of a facility within the National Coal Company.
