Type of Services

  • Execution of energy audits in industrial sites, buildings and utilities;
  • Formulation of feasibility studies for energy efficiency projects;
  • Implementation of energy efficiency demonstration projects, in buildings, industry and utilities;
  • Development of studies on financing mechanisms for energy efficiency projects;
  • Organisation of information campaigns, conferences and workshops.

 

Description

The project involved the establishment of an Energy Centre in the city of St. Petersburg and three energy efficiency offices in Murmansk, Archangelsk and Petrozavodsk, in the greater north west Russia, with the main purpose of promoting energy efficiency in the area. It included technical and financial disciplines at the sectors of industry, utilities, as well as in the building sector. The project created a self-sustainable Energy Centre, which operates on a commercial basis through the provision of services to a range of clients in the wider area of north west Russia. Amongst other project activities, the contractor undertook a number of tasks related to the energy conservation in buildings in St. Petersburg and Murmansk, namely:

  • energy audits;
  • identification of energy saving potential;
  • implementation of energy conservation demonstration projects;
  • monitoring and performance evaluation.

The demonstration projects undertaken were:

  • the refurbishment of the central heating installations at the administration building of the municipal company Teleplovie Seti;
  • the replacement of the heat radiators in a residential building in Murmansk Oblast.
