- assessment of the respective situation in Romania, including review of recently conducted studies and energy policy studies;
- review of data in the field of energy demand, supply and environmental impact;
- development of a decision making model to be used for the analysis of macroeconomic developments in the sectors;
- development of energy strategies and policies in close cooperation with involved parties.
Description
The main objective of the study was to support the Ministry of Industry & Trade in the formulation of an integrated long term fuel policy for Romania and to indicate strategic decisions of the different state-owned electricity, gas, oil, coal and refining companies in their long term planning. In addition, the study provided the Romanian Ministry of Finance with an assessment of the capital investments and pricing policies for fuels necessary to implement these policies.
Emphasis was given in the demonstration and the transfer of know-how on the methodologies and instruments to be used for the preparation of integrated energy policies.
