In the framework of the project, a detailed feasibility study on the implementation of certain technologies and strategies for reducing the cost of space cooling was carried out for a certain building belonging to the City of Athens. Moreover, the report submitted to the municipal administration provided information on the appropriate technologies and strategies that can be applied in the majority of Athens buildings leading to a significant reduction in energy and power demand for space cooling. The feasibility of implementing these technologies and strategies in a wider scale in Athens was also included in the report along with a relevant action plan. In the course of the project, training was also provided on systematic basis to the engineers and decision makers of the City of Athens.
