Description
The main objective of the project was to develop an energy saving action plan for the Nevsky Zavod engineering company`s manufacturing plant, developed in order to improve the overall profitability of the company, coupled with the implementation of an appropriate Energy Monitoring & Targeting programme covering all the the major production and processing units on the site. The activities implemented within the framework of the project were the following:
- execution of short and subsequent in-depth energy audit sessions;
- development of an action plan for the reduction of energy consumption of the company;
- implementation of an M & T system, covering the major (in terms of energy consumption) processes of the plant;
- an initial survey was carried out to identify no-cost energy efficiency measures including monitoring and targeting and energy audits;
- development of a feasibility study for the replacement of the existing hot water production boilers and associated plant coupled with a technical and economic assessment of the potential for one or more co-generation systems to be installed as part of a long term energy efficiency strategy;
- information dissemination activities & training.
