Type of Services
Services included provision of technical assistance to CERA in order to adopt the appropriate regulation (measures, mechanisms, standards, rules), so as to ensure the security of gas supply in Cyprus and minimise the consequences arising from a potential disruption. The project was conducted in three phases, namely:
- Phase A: Preparation of a comparative report on security of supply;
- Phase B: Preparation of a report on the balance of supply and demand of natural gas in Cyprus;
- Phase C: Preparation of an Action Plan.
Description
The overall objective of the project was to improve Cyprus`s compliance with EU legislation regarding securing the supply of natural gas to the internal market, the management of an emergency, and enforce the regulatory capacity of the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA) by defining, a priori, the actions, measures, rules or regulation within the legislative framework that are required in order for their implementation to be possible.
