Type of Services
The scope of work included:
- Designs of the MEP installations for the issuance of construction permits at detailed design level, for temporary use during the 2004 Olympic Games (Press Village) as well as post-Olympic use (houses) and
- Construction design of all the MEP installations for the housing development’s buildings temporary Olympic use as well as their post-Olympic use and
the following installations:
Water Supply / Sewage / Storm Drainage / Fire Fighting / Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning / Electrical Substation / Electrical Power / Lighting / Telephones - Data / Sound Facilities / Radio – Television /Lightning Protection and Earthing / Lifts / Natural Gas
Description
A residential estate project in Greater Athens including 202 apartments and maisonettes (33,000m²) and green or communal spaces (80,000m²).
It was initially used as a temporary Media Village during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and finally refurbished as a pioneering housing project.
The project was ranked in the top three at the prestigious MIPIM awards of 2006.
