LDK Consultants was an active participant and event supporter at the Marrakech Conference of the parties to UNFCCC (COP 22), held between November 7th and 11th, 2016.
LDK’s Project “Sustainable Water Integrated Management and Horizon 2020 Support Mechanism” (SWIM-H2020 SM, EU funded) was presented during an Official Side Event of COP22 on the 9th of November 2016.
In his welcome remark, Mr. Raul De Luzenberger-Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Morocco, expressed his conviction that the path towards a sustainable Mediterranean is long but totally manageable and effective. He added that the Project’s 100 activities scheduled for the next 2,5 years, in enhancing the resilience of the Mediterranean region to climate variability and change would definitely contribute to reduced marine pollution and a sustainable use of scarce water resources in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East.
