The 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the EU funded SWIM-H2020 SM Project was held on January the 31st 2018, at the Dead Sea, Jordan.

SWIM-H2020 SM is a 39 month Project (2016-2019), with a budget of 6,705,205 euros, aiming to contribute to reduced marine pollution and a more sustainable use of scarce water resources in the countries of North Africa and Middle East (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, [Syria] and Tunisia).

The Meeting was facilitated by Mr. Stavros Damianidis-Project Director and Managing Director of LDK Consultants and Professor Michael Scoullos-Team Leader, during which 40 stakeholders from 14 countries were provided an overview of the Project’s 100 Activities in progress to date. The focal points of the Partner Countries stressed the important contribution of the project in their priorities for environmental protection and water conservation.
