Design and Construction Works for the upgrading / rehabilitation of civil, track and electrification works of the double/single track railway between Kroumovo and Parvomai over an approximate length of 37 kilometres.
The works include the upgrading of tracks and stations, the reconstruction of buildings for 8 stations and halts, and the construction of two new Traction Power Substations at Kroumovo and Parvomai. The total cost of the project is 85.000.000 EUR.
The railway line forms part of priority TINA Corridor IV and (in part) Corridor IX and provides the main railway connection between Bulgaria, Turkey and the Middle East. The upgraded line will also improve access to Greece and the port of Alexandroupolis.
