LDK Consultants Project “Sustainable Water Integrated Management and Horizon 2020 Support Mechanism” (SWIM-H2020 SM) Workplan was endorsed by the Focal Points of Ministries of Water and Environment of the Project’s Partner Countries, during the 1st Steering Committee Meeting in Brussels on September the 27th and 28th 2016.

The SWIM-H2020 SM Project, funded by the European Union, aims to further contribute to reduced marine pollution and a more sustainable use of scarce water resources in the countries of North Africa and Middle East (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, [Libya], Morocco, Palestine, [Syria] and Tunisia).

The SWIM-H2020 SM is the continuation and merging of two successful previous EU-funded service contracts, the LDK Consultants Project “Sustainable Water Integrated Management Support Mechanism” (SWIM SM 2010-2015) and “Horizon 2020 Capacity Building/Mediterranean Environment Programme” (H2020 CB/MEP 2009-2014).

Mr. Stavros Damianidis, CEO of LDK Consultants and Project Director of SWIM-H2020 SM and Prof. Michael Scoullos-Team Leader and their team, who presented the Project Workplan, expressed their satisfaction for its endorsement and their certainty for the success of the Project’s key activities in the next 2,5 years.
