LDK Consultants is currently providing construction supervision and technical assistance services on the realization of a 45 MW wind farm in Greece
, owned by an international investor.
Mr Stavros Damianidis-CEO LDK Consultants, Mr Savvas Louizidis-Head of Energy Department LDK Consultants and Mr Nikos Papadopoulos, Senior Energy Expert LDK Consultants has recently visited the construction site.
In this framework, LDK Consultants is managing three different construction contracts, namely:
- the Balance of Plant (BoP) contract for the construction of access roads, wind turbine foundations and the medium voltage electric networks;
- the turn key contract for the construction of the HV Substation;
- the Wind Turbine Supply and Installation Agreement (TSIA).
In that context, specialized engineers of LDK Consultants supervise the construction works on a daily basis, assuring the quality of the project, as well as the fulfilment of health & safety and environmental provisions of the Greek regulatory framework and the associated permits.
The project is at a well-advanced stage with the majority of the BoP infrastructure works having been successfully implemented and allowing for the last month the transport and erection of wind turbines, in line with the Owner’s plans. Similarly, HV substation works are well in progress, with the civil works close to completion and the delivery and installation of E&M equipment having already commenced.
LDK Consultants has mobilized on site an engineering team of several disciplines consisting of surveying, civil, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical engineers in order to supervise and manage the investment. In addition, a back-office team constantly supports the on-site team delivering targeted input in technical fields, as well as in the contracts’ management, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to the Client.
