The Contract between the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Consortium of LDK Consultants (GR) and ECOS Consulting (GR) was signed on May 18th , 2015, at the headquarters of the Water Development Department in Cyprus, for the project titled
"Consultancy services for the preparation of the Second Phase of river Basin Management Plans of Cyprus towards the implementation of Directive 2000/60/EC and for the preparation of Flood Risk Management Plans towards the implementation of Directive 2007/60 / EC”.
The Contract was signed by Mr Andreas Manolis, Director of the Water Development Department, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus and Mr. Stavros Damianidis, Managing Director of LDK on behalf of the Consortium. LDK and ECOs are also supported by WS Atkins – UK.
The assignment has a duration of 15 months and is of seminal importance to Cyprus, which has faced extended shortage of water resources.
