On the 15th of September 2022, LDK Consultants participated in the “RES Serbia 2022” conference that brought together top experts in renewable energy from Serbia and Europe to discuss the green energy sector.
Mr Nenad Jovanović, Energy Consultant at LDK Consultants Belgrade office, was the moderator of the discussion during which the impact of the global security, economic and energy crisis on the development of RES projects with regional views were reviewed.
The representatives from the Energy Community Secretariat, European Investment Bank, Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia and PE EPS, expressed their focus on achieving at least 5 GW in RES by 2030, on revitalising the existing hydro capacity and in investing in solar power plants after 2025.
Tomorrow, Mr Nenad Jovanović will participate as a panellist in a discussion "Energy transition of Serbia in the light of new challenges”, organised by the European Climate Foundation and the news agency Beta.
Mr Nenad Jovanović will discuss, along with the representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Serbia, Energy Community and Deloitte, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the energy transition plans of Serbia.
Since 2017, LDK Consultants and CRES have been assisting the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia in developing advanced tools for energy planning through two IPA projects financed by European Union.
In the ongoing project, the National Energy and Climate Plan of Serbia is being developed which will set the pathway for the country’s energy sector until 2050 including the basis for RES development.
Finally, LDK Consultants is proud to announce its membership in the Association of RES Serbia and AmCham of Serbia.
RES Serbia, which was established with the support of EBRD, aims at improving the business environment and the generation and use of electric power from renewable energy sources. AmCham Serbia is one of the leading business associations in the country that aims to improve the business environment in ten sectors including energy and environment.
