Type of Services

Services provided by LDK in the context of the project included mainly the provision of technical assistance to all stages of the project, regarding LDK`s expertise in energy saving schemes and measures.

Description

This project referred to a pilot action aiming to evaluate the opportunity for the implementation of the schemes that facilitate the establishment of energy saving Long Term Agreements (LTAs) in Romania. The overall project objectives were the following:

  • exploration of the possibilities of using the LTAs on energy efficiency with industry sectors in Romania;
  • identification of the necessary conditions for concluding LTAs with private partners from the industrial sector;
  • evaluation of the energy conservation potential, the costs and the relevant technical and organisational aspects in the private industrial sectors;
  • evaluation of the potential for improvements in energy intensity and for reduction in CO2 emissions;
  • evaluation of the specific ways of energy conservation for the private industrial sectors selected for implementing the LTAs;
  • identification of the potential monitoring body and its competencies;
  • identification of the potential partners involved in the LTA;
  • creation of the necessary frame-contact for implementation of LTAs;
