LDK established a Project Management Unit (PMU) with a team of experts on site of the Ministry of Development, assisted on a part time basis by special experts required for specific issues.
Activities of the PMU included:
- provision of advice and technical assistance to the Ministry of Development regarding legislation matters and public procurement tendering procedures;
- drafting and monitoring of 422 public procurement contracts of a total value of 946 million euros;
- monitoring of the progress of the implementation of the programme by the various bodies supported by the programme;
- preparation of progress reports;
- preparation of programme related regulations and terms of reference for project financing through the programme.
Description
LDK was appointed as an adviser to the Greek Ministry of Development and was responsible for all monitoring and programme management activities related to the Operational Programme Energy in the context of the 2nd Community Support Framework 1994-1999. The Operational Programme Energy was a sectoral programme applied to the entire country.
