Provided services by LDK included:
- evaluation report on ecological, social and economical situation, as well as the human activities and land uses in the region;
- description of the flora and fauna species and national and EU protected areas in the region;
- analysis of potential dangers threatening the sustainability of all the protected elements;
- preparation of measures / actions for achieving the Master Plan targets and time schedules;
- suggestions for limitations and adjustments in land uses and human activities;
- human resources, equipment and expenses for implementing the Master Plans;
- description of monitoring parameters and plans;
- description of educational needs and education of personnel responsible for implementing the Master Plans.
Description
The project referred to the provision of technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of Cyprus, for the preparation of master plans in the regions of Lybia - Agia Anna and Mitsero. The areas have been proposed for the Natura 2000 programme and the master plans defined the special requirements and provision for the Natura characterisation of the areas.
