Type of Services
Review of studies, projects, policies and plans under a technical perspective and evaluation of technical RES potential. The latter with a view to assist in the evaluation of current feed-in tariff levels.
Contribution to the RES Regulatory Development Road Map with regard to the integration of the RES resources and to the energy mix and development of technical rules.
Training on subjects of RES promotion schemes, grid integration issues and code requirements plus CDM related procedures.
Development of relevant grid protocols (connection procedures, charges and dispatch rules) with regard to RES integration.
Preparation of relevant draft regulatory and legal texts.
Review and evaluation of CDM procedures and determine CEF for Mongolia
Description
The project aims at the development of a Regulatory Roadmap for the promotion of RES in Mongolia. Individual actions of the project include:
Stage 1: Baseline studies and Renewable Energy Road Map
- Task 1: Review of studies, projects, policies and plans
- Task 2: Analysis of current feed-in tariffs
- Task 3: Develop RES Regulatory Development Road Map
- Task 4: Training of ERA counterpart staff
Stage 2: Implementation support and capacity development
- Task 5: Assess electricity grid and grid protocols
- Task 6: Further develop legislation and rules/standards for support of RES
- Task 7: Evaluate CDM procedures and determine CEF for Mongolia
