Type of Services
In the first phase of services the consortium has to :
- Prepare a Master Programme of construction works and a Critical Path Analysis using specialised software.

Allocate the contracts for construction and completion within the time period till the year 2012.
- Prepare hydraulic designs and detailed drawings for the extension of the sewerage system including Pumping Stations.
- Prepare designs and tender documents/drawings for the upgrading and expansion of the Waste Water Treatment Plant including a sludge management study.
- Prepare feasibility study to be followed by hydraulic designs and detailed drawings for the extension of the drainage system.
- Carry out the necessary topographical survey of the area.
- Prepare tender documents for the geological survey of the area.
- Prepare the pre-qualification documents for contractors and assist in the pre-qualification process. Carry out the evaluation of pre-qualification applications.
- Prepare the pre-qualification documents for contractors and assist in the pre-qualification process of the design and built project for the upgrading and extension of the WWTP.
- Carry out the tender evaluation and assist in the pre-award negotiations.
- Prepare the tender documents including detailed BOQ for the contracts, in accordance with the Employer's Requirements and in accordance with the Cyprus Law and the EU procurement rules for similar projects.
- Prepare the tender documents (design and built project) for the contract for the upgrading and extension of the WWTP,
- Prepare Engineer's estimates for the entire project and for each and every contract
In the second phase, the consortium has the obligation to organise the required offices in Larnaca to host the supervision permanent core staff. The services include, among others, the preparation of Reports on a regular basis, the issuing of variation orders, the evaluation of extension of time, the evaluation of claims and all associated work as detailed in the paragraphs that follow
In the third phase, we shall review and approve final drawings of the contract works after completion (As constructed drawings) and incorporate the new work in the LSDB Asset Management system
Our consortium shall also provide services during the defects liability period
Description
The Republic of Cyprus has joined the European Union on May 1st 2004. It has therefore the obligation to comply with the European Union Urban Waste Water Directive 91/271/EEC by the year 2012. The Republic of Cyprus has recently revised the National Law on Sewerage Systems 1/1971 to include the requirements of the Urban Waste Water Directive. Specifically, all urban areas and agglomerations with a population of 2.000 people or more have the obligation to construct and operate a sewerage system by the year 2012. The town of Larnaca is located on the south-eastern coast of Cyprus. It has a population of 45.000 people.
The objective of the required services procured by the local sewerage and drainage board is to provide qualified and professional technical assistance to the Board. Under this framework, our consortium will :
- Prepare the Employer's Requirements, Designs and Tender Documents
- Provide services for Contract administration and supervision of the construction works.
- Review and approve final drawings of the contract works after completion (As constructed drawings) and incorporate the new work in the LSDB Asset Management system
Provide services during the defects liability period
