Type of Services
- Assessment of the renewable energy sources in Malaysia Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam
- Preparation of networking between SE Asia and Europe
Description
This project, under the distinctive name of PRESSEA, aimed to promote the implementation of renewable energy sources (RES) in the greater region of South East Asia, including the Indochina peninsula and the island regions of Indonesia and the Philippines. In particular, it aimed at establishing an information network for European renewable energy systems and technologies for rural electrification in a total of five selected countries.
PRESSEA added value to the existing European programmes and strengthened existing networks. The network to be established in the region enables a two-way flow of important renewable energy information between interested EU companies and South East Asian partners. Asian partners benefit from access to up-to-date information on European renewable energy technologies, products, case studies of best practice and contact details for possible project partners. This helps to stimulate the introduction and implementation of renewable energy technologies in the region.
