Type of Services
The Consultant provided technical assistance to the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a coordinator of the Recording, Coding and Documentation of the Legal, Institutional, and Business Framework for the promotion of Greek Investments in Bulgaria.
More specifically, technical assistance focused on the following aspects:
- development of a Business Guide of the Bulgarian Legal, Institutional and Business Framework that will enhance business activity in Bulgaria and in particular in the region of Blagoevgrad. In particular, the Guide recorded the following:
- Financial framework;
- General legal and institutional investment framework;
- Recording and analysis of business environment;
- Labour and insurance legislation;
- Tax legislation;
- Description of the main financing institutions and monitoring of the Bulgarian monetary policy;
- Recording of the existing situation in the ICT Sector;
- Development of a database with useful addresses, telephones and contacts in Bulgaria;
- Conclusions report and SWOT Analysis;
- study - research recording the business profile of a sample of enterprises. Moreover, the Consultant implemented the following:
- Selection of at least 100 most representative enterprises of the food and beverages and building materials sectors and of related and supporting sectors;
- Development of questionnaires and conduct of interviews with business managers;
- Elaboration, statistical analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of the results -Conclusions Report;
- Presentation and documentation of best practices of enterprises.
Description
The overall objective of this project was to support business activity between Bulgaria and Greece and to create the necessary knowledge base, which would facilitate the enterprises from both countries to develop new cooperation arrangements and explore new markets.
The project had two components:
- Recording and Analysis of the Legal, Institutional, Business Framework:
- Under Component 1 the Consultant developed a Business Guide including the Bulgarian legal, institutional and business framework that will enhance business activity in Bulgaria.Study - Research Recording the Business Profile for a Sample of Enterprises, the Advantages of the Region of Blagoevgrad and Analysis of the Application of Best Practices by Enterprises:
In the framework of Component 2 the Consultant implemented the following tasks:
- selection of at least 100 most representative enterprises of the food &beverages and building materials sectors and of related and supporting sectors;
- development of questionnaires and conduct of interviews with business managers;
- elaboration, statistical analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of the results and conclusions report;
- presentation and documentation of best practices of enterprises.
