Type of Services
Services provide by the Consultant included:
- management and coordination of activities of the two subcontractors (building facilities constructor, equipment supplier);
- financial management of the two projects;
- management and monitoring of the construction works of the new Sorting Center plus the performance of thorough quality control checks for the effective quality assurance of the project;
- quality testing for both projects;
- monitoring the progress of works and submission of corresponding reports to the contracting authority;
- ensuring compatibility of the management Information system of both centers with the central information system of HP;
- training of the executives of the management agency aiming at the staffing of the agency with a team of engineers along with other personnel familiarized with the implementation of large-scale projects.
Description
Hellenic Post (HP), operating within the framework of improving and modernizing its management facilities, implemented projects of the 2nd Community Support Framework and planed to include new projects in the 3rd Community Support Framework in order to respond to the current market demands.
To this aim HP hired a Project Management Consultant in order to ensure the provision of specialized technical assistance in the field of management, monitoring and coordination for the implementation of the following projects:
- construction of building facilities for the new Postal Sorting Center in Attiki Region;
- supply of postal equipment for the new Postal Sorting Center in Attiki Region and the Postal Sorting Center at Athens International Airport at the existing building facilities to be expanded at a later stage.
The Consultant ensured the required quality and safety of the operations during the implementation of these projects plus their timely and unobstructed completion.
