Description
The main objective of the project is the preparation of the National Management Plan for the management of medical waste in Greece. The project refers to all medical units of health services in the Greek territory, which produce and manage medical waste, as well as other entities (enterprises, plants etc) that also manage medical waste. The project analysed the current situation in medical waste production and management at a national level. It determined the basic aims and actions that should be implemented for the sound management of medical waste, in order to ensure the safety of public health and the environment.
