Description

The project involved the environmental and safety site assessment at the edible oil and fats production plant in Piraeus and at the tomatoes processing plant (PUMARO) at Gastouni of Ilia prefecture, of ELAIS UNILEVER HELLAS SA.The objective of the site assessment was to identify and assess the environmental risks and liabilities resulting from past and present on-site activities, as well as site-specific environmental non-compliance issues. Safety issues at the plants were also addressed in the assessment agenda. Additionlly, the following services were provided:

• review of environmental documents located in the data room;
• technical guidance regarding compliance with environmental regulation's applicable to operations in question;
• support in understanding the regulations that may drive the need to re-mediate soil and groundwater impacts;
• support in developing remediation and/or compliance related costs.
